Bridgit Claire Mendler (born December 18, 1992) is an American actress, singer, musician and songwriter. You probably know her as one of the main characters (Teddy Duncan) of the Disney Channel's "Good Luck Charlie". In 2011 she starred in a Disney Channel Original Movie "Lemonade Mouth". Her previous roles include guest appearances in the films "Labor Pains", "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel", "The Clique" and "Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2" and the hit tv show "Wizards of Waverly Place". In 2012, Mendler released her debut album "Hello My Name Is...", which featured a pop sound. It debuted at number 30 on the US Billboard 200, and has sold over 74,000 copies as of November 2012. Her debut single off the album "Ready or Not", became an international Top 40 hit, and peaked at number 49 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was announced that her second single will be "Hurricane". The Duncan family has been through a lot. Heck, we’ve been with Charlie (Mia Talerico) for her whole life! They’ve learned and grown and been through some pretty crazy situations. Recently, the family has even welcomed a brand new member with baby Toby, but there’s still so much left to experience with the Duncans on ‘Good Luck Charlie.’
This month, our favorite Disney family won’t be so lucky at the beginning of their new season. Forced out of their house by termites, they’ll be living, cooped up together in a hotel room. When the thought of building their dream house excites everyone but Charlie, the family decides to sleep on it. During a dream, Teddy (Bridgit Mendler) and her mom meet the Muppets who convince them that maybe their dream house was closer than they thought. Bridgit Mendler is one of several celebrities that will be performing at Radio Disney Music at L.A. Live’s Nokia Theatre on Saturday, April 27, according to billlboard.com. Other celebrities to appear include popular stars such as Selena Gomez, Cody Simpson, and Cher Lloyd.
Fans will vote on categories like Ultimate Breakout Star: Biggest Viral Artist; XOXO: Best Crush Song; and So FANtastic: Fiercest Fans, among others. The Radio Disney Music Awards will also honor five kids from the U.S. with the Heroes for Change award, recognizing their efforts to make a difference in their communities.
Kids between five and 18 across Radio Disney’s 31 markets will also have a chance to win the Youth Service Award, which awards one child per market with a $500 grant for their community project and invites them to be honored at the awards show with one of their favorite stars.
